Newcomers to digital rallying can activate a revised selection of assist features to help ease into the franchise. The physics engine has also been updated, with improvements to aerodynamic and suspension simulation, which makes vehicles feel more accurate to their real-life counterparts. The sim now features 19 locations and environments - breaking out to over 120 rally stages to master - and 22 legendary and historical cars from Mitsubishi, Peugeot, Subaru, Toyota and more. WRC 10 improves over its predecessor with more cars, locations and ways to play, including a new 50th anniversary mode that celebrates and recreates great moments from World Rally Championship history dating back to its inception in 1973.

With the Dirt series pushing deeper into the arcade end of the racing sim spectrum, I was glad when WRC 10 debuted to scratch my itch for rallying realism.

To help you in your search, I've rounded up the best racing and driving games for Sony's PS4 and PS5 consoles. Whether you're a serious racing enthusiast looking for a hard-core and accurate motorsports simulator, a casual autophile looking for a fun and fast arcade racer, or you're just beginning to explore your love of cars and car culture, the perfect racing game is out there waiting for you. PlayStation racing has come a long way over the last 19 years. I remember lapping Laguna Seca in GT4 to memorize every turn on the night before my first real track day. For its time, GT4 was state of the art, with accurate reproductions of real-world tracks and over 700 cars. It changed the way I looked at motorsport and cars. That game, coupled with a massive stack of sport compact car racing magazines, paved the way for my all-out obsession.

Gran Turismo 4 on the PS2 was the first racing game that hooked me. I've been a fan of the genre for over two decades. This game would be getting destroyed by the community, but because Kunos made it criticism is light and the majority of people think everything will be fixed and improved. If you're anything like me, you can't wait to get your hands on the best racing games for PS4 and PS5. Is ACC still being viewed as forgiving as it is right now? No way. Lets be honest take Kunos name off this and replace it with SMS. Even when you finish a session there is no real clear indicator for progressing to what is next, it just says quit and you need to do that to advance. It is all just vague generic directions and the player is just supposed to guess what they need to do to advance. Where is the direction and guidance so you know what you need to do to progress? There is none.

This is a helpful document to reduce the usual step when you are switching sim software and need to understand everything in no time. I could go on, but I think my point is made. Official Guide for Assetto Corsa Competizione JIn Assetto Corsa Kunos has released a brief guide to help newcomers arriving at Assetto Corsa Competizione. So if the game crashes or you quit before the race weekend is over have fun repeating the entire race weekend again. If you don't know the series qualifying rules how are you supposed to know that with no warning or explanation? Also you can't even save your progress midway through a race weekend.

Jimmy Broadbent ran into this issue and thought the game was broken, but I am pretty sure it is just enforcing the real life qualifying rules on you. Hell there isn't even a warning that if you return to the garage during qualifying that your qualifying is over and you are not allowed on track again. Championship points are also not available so you progress one race weekend to the next without knowing what the standings are. Also what is the point of making your own team if the cars already have a predetermined livery? If the logos and sponsors have to remain the same for licensing purposes atleast allow the player to customize the colors of their car. There also seems to be no difference in what cars are available to you once testing is complete. Go look at them, there is no difference in any of the settings. Also the safe and aggressive setup for the Super Trofeo are literally IDENTICAL. There are no real directions on what performance you need to achieve to get a better rating during these tests, just generic directions to stay on track. The grammer for the rain test is poor at best. The first Super Trofeo test description literally repeats itself twice.

Can we please call a spade a spade? The career mode is objectively unintuitive, sloppy, and underdeveloped.
